The Mission Climat of Caisse des Dépôts, a centre of expertise on climate change economics,
the ONERC (National Observatory for the Impacts of Global Warming), a division of the French Ministry of Ecology, Energy, Development and Land Management responsible for questions linked to adaptation to climate changes
and Météo France have joined forces to launch
ViTeCC (Club Villes, Territoires et Changement Climatique)
This initiative is part of an APREC international research programme concerned with the expected impact of climate change and its implications for infrastructure management (see program).
The ViTeCC Club aims to pool experience of the links between infrastructure management and financing and climate change, by providing decision-makers with first-hand information about the effects of climate change and the financial instruments required to deal with them. It comprises:
- Local Authority departmental managers (urban communities, cities, departments, regions etc.),
- Businesses supplying amenity services (energy, construction, transportation, water, financial services)
- Recognised experts in the field of climate change and infrastructure finance.
